A fruitful garden is an important part of the self sufficient life. Indoor seed starting is a practical method for getting a garden started quickly in a colder climate. Approximately six to eight weeks before the last frost you can start a range of seeds inside so that they are strong healthy plants by the time they are placed into the soil. Because seeds are cheaper than actual plants, this is a great way save some money without falling behind during the planting season!
